I don't know what ya'll talking about saying he's soft. His post game is trash and has always been but he plays physical D. He ain't really that good of a man defender. He is more of a help side defender.
He soft

Not for nothin but Zbo's offensive game is gonna make almost all bigs look weak; it's just that complete. Only Timmy would give Zbo problems and even then I don't think he's matched up with him in a playoff situation. I don't see opposing bigs attacking Zbo and making him play D which is his weakness but even then he got Gasol back there helping.

As a Knicks fan one of the few dudes I saw give Zbo fits was Jared Jeffries...lanky dudes give him problems I think...but that was just a regular season game so...

His footwork in the post is horrible. He is terribly mechanical and he isn't a movement player as well has he doesn't have good BBIQ. He's kinda limited breh. A big part of being a good at post moves is getting leverage and reading your defender. We all know Ibaka don't think on offense. He just react.

There's not enough blood flow that makes it up to his brain:leostare:

I put this on Scott Brooks that he didn't mandate either Serge or Durant develop a back-to-the-basket post game.

Two 6'10"+ genetic freaks and both seem to only work on their 18+ ft., face up shooting game ... that's basically bailing out the defense when they should be punishing opponents with their height and skill.

If they had any semblance of a post game to either score or draw-double-team-kickouts, it would make OKC a true championship threat ... instead, they just wanna get in jumpshooting contests.

I mean, look what it did to round out Lebron's game ...

asik is not better than ibaka.

thunder did the right thing. there's not enough wing production to go around for durant/harden/westbrook... it's stupid to use that amount of salary on wings and leaving nothing for the frontcourt.

Asik is a better overall defender and rebounder. It's a wash offensively, though i'd say Asik is a better finisher. Asik costs quite a bit less too. Asik > Ibaka.

Extremely lazy defense and low awareness by McGee. That was matador post defense. He still was just reacting and he did extra moves that wasn't even necessary right there. That's like those million double pump fakes Mark Sanchez does for no reason.

now you just being silly. it wasn't extremely lazy defense at all. extreme lazy defense would just be standing there doing absolutely nothing. there's potential there. that fake was necessary, because there was a chance mcgee could've blocked it.

he needs more time and more coaching and more touches. he has competent foot work. he's basically a near last resort on the thunder's offense and nothing is drawn up for him besides shooting jumpers. plus it doesn't help that perkins draws no defensive attention either.

Zbo and Marc Gasol are bangers :manny: They could work in the post and from range really well. Tough combination, Memphis the only team in the league that has that.

I can't believe he said Asik>Ibaka. Asik is an average center. Ibaka is a good overall player who excels at help side defense which is getting negated by Memphis offensive system.

What exactly does Ibaka do better than Asik besides weakside shot-blocking? :stopitslime:

Rebounding really don't mean shyt in this discussion at the end of the day. asik isnt a better overall defender. asik may be a better man defender in the post, but everything else ibaka>>>>>>>,

guarding on the perimeter, help, pick and roll. asik's defense is overrated.

a wash offensively????? oh hell no. no way near. asik's offense is non existent besides put backs. he can barely catch the ball.

why do yall need to stretch things to suit your agenda? asik and ibaka aren't a wash offensively.
