the numbers suggest otheriwse??? you've got to be kidding me? do you watch the games or do you just look at the stats?

ibaka can run the floor better, has better foot work, shot 46% on 460 jumpers, better at finishing at the rim and

10ft - 16 ft = 57% shooting
16ft - 3pt = 46% shooting

there's no way in hell that asik has the same amount of offensive impact.... none.

asik scored 13, 21 and 17 his last 3 games
ibaka scored 11, 5, 10

For arguments sake, let's say Asik does have more defensive impact than him, what about the offensive end? Asik has virtually no offensive skills: no shooting, no passing ability, no post moves, has trouble with catching basic passes on the regular and 90% of the offense he produces are from put back opportunities/dunks.

That's just another offensive liability the Thunder would have in their starting lineup:

Thabo - averaged 7 points over the regular season
Perkins - averaged 4 points over the regular season

Now you're jumping to your own conclusions, where did I say or allude to that Ibaka was this great PNR defender? The point is, he has a wider arrange of skills defensively than Asik does. If you were to weigh up all the things they did on the defensive end (+ impact), it would be in Ibaka's favor.

You say this, but you haven't giving one piece of evidence to suggest Asik is better on the offensive end.

Ibaka has all this talent yet averaged one more point than Asik during that first round series. Against Memphis, Ibaka has had no offensive presence after two games. At worst, Asik would be giving them the same production as Ibaka.

I don't even understand what you're arguing at this point. We're all watching the same games and seeing the numbers. Ibaka is giving them next to nothing in this series and you can't tell me Asik would fare any worse.

This is stupid though. Because Asik got around 20 points from being hacked and put on the free throw line, intentionally. Which would drop his production from 12.3 PPG to 8.9 PPG; on which were all basically dunks/put back opportunities.

Oh yeah lets judge Ibaka after he's been made a 2nd scoring option, without his PG to feed him and after TWO GAMES.

I don't understand why you're arguing, when you know very well you're wrong. Why are you only using this series as evidence (2 games at that)? What about the rest of the regular season? What about when his offense was an integral part of getting past the Spurs last season in the playoffs? When has Asik ever had the same offensive impact in his career that Ibaka has?

You're arguments are getting more ridiculous with each post.

Zbo and Marc Gasol are bangers :manny: They could work in the post and from range really well. Tough combination, Memphis the only team in the league that has that.

Utah has it too, but they don't/can't utilize well enough as an overall team. :manny:

Is there really someone arguing that Asik, a person that has trouble catching, is a better offensive option than Ibaka?

:merchant:

I can play that game too.

Millsap last three games: 6, 7, 10.
Garnett last three games: 15, 16, 13.
Horford last three games: 15, 14, 18.
Griffin last three games: 9, 4, 19.

There we go, now there's an argument that Asik is a better offensive player than Milsap, Garnett, Horford and Griffin. :troll:

@regular P keeps running with this Harden/Ibaka agenda, he's not even letting reasoning/logic get in the way of trying to prove his point.

Asik is a better overall defender and rebounder. It's a wash offensively, though i'd say Asik is a better finisher. Asik costs quite a bit less too. Asik > Ibaka.

I watched Houston games all year and Asik is a horrible finisher. That's the weakest part of his game, he'll miss bunnies all night. I've never been an Ibaka fan, so I don't really think it's much separating the two. Ibaka can hit jumpers sometimes, but in no way is that shyt dependable when they really need it.

in those two cases they're pretty close. Milsap and Griffin?

nikkas like Paul George and Kevin Durant got every big man thinking they can play on the perimeter....

It's only gonna get worse brehs

this makes absolutely NO sense at all...both guys are actual wing players who are suppose to play on the perimeter..

Ibaka's such a great shooter from inside and outside 16 feet that he's shooting 38% since Westbrook went down (six games now, not two). The team needs him more than ever and unsurprisingly he's not producing. He had one miracle series against the Spurs (really just one miracle game) and you're gassing up his performances in the past? :what:

Proving my point more that Ibaka isn't that good. At least Asik is actually around the rim and attempts to finish. Ibaka keeps drifting as far away from the paint as he can. He wants no parts of Randolph and Gasol.
