We went to game six with the NBA champs with bismayck biyombo and Luis scola as our frontcourt.

its a trade like this, and seeing the excitement levels from Raptors fans that makes me want to see the Bulls rebuild even more right now

this Raptors team is happy not being a championship contender, they aint winning shyt for the foreseeable future

this league is ran by two teams

Im not trying anything, the Raptors are not winning a title as currently constructed with the Warriors/Cavs in play

Hence how it correlates to me hoping for my team to rebuild, because as it stands now what is the rest of the league playing for?

Point being, I wouldnt be sacrificing 1st rounders (especially in a loaded draft)

:why:

Who the fukk said were winning a title ?

Were sacrificing a late first rounder who statisically speaking probably amounts to nothing...If the Raps "can" re sign ibaka then its worthwhile.
Even if they dont they have a better player ready to step in and take Thot's minutes right now...

loaded draft if your in the top 12 which the raptors arent...

If losing in the playoffs gets you excited , carry on :ehh:

Every team loses in the playoffs except 1,we were going to be a playoff team without this trade...should we have tanked for a 18th pick in this draft and not make the playoffs rather than try to do something....:hhh:

Your disdain when the raptors is the topic is amusing :lolbron:

Am I the only one who doesn't know how to feel about this? Unless Toronto acquires a top 10 player it still does not put them over the top or even competitive enough to hang with Cleveland. And giving up a 1st rounder at that is :jbhmm:Raps will better now no doubt about it but its either finals or nothing for them at this point

This is true but it depends what the celtics would have to give up for ibaka. i wouldn't trade any of the nets picks if it's not for millsap, butler or pg13. if they don't land an all-star player this year then they can re-sign thomas and have one of the best prospects on a rookie contract.

they're in a really good position and it might be better for them to build their team to make a run in 3-5 years when the east will be more open. signing horford was dumb tho.

Agree with everything except the bolded.

Horford has been a good addition. He fits into our offense well. His numbers aren't jaw-dropping but he is great for us in pick-and-roll and pick-and-pop situations.

They're giving up a mid 20s draft pick and still have another one in that range plus their second round pick.

They also get Ibaka's bird rights (I'm pretty sure) , which makes re-signing him a pretty good bet. This a massive upgrade for them while giving up very little. I'd make that trade 10 times outta 10

Doesn't matter. Great players always fall out of the lottery. The concept of having a 1st round pick is still valuable and can turn into a player like a Jimmy Butler, Draymond Green, Rudy Gobert, Giannis, Avery Bradley, Bledsoe, etc all guys who fell late. Again, its a good trade for Toronto, but just pray Orlando doesn't pick up an Eastern conference 2021 All-Star with that pick
