Kobe is a slightly better player, imo. Building a team tho, you probably go with Robertson 1st.

Kobe. I could take a number of point guards/point forwards who can do what Oscar Robertson can do. But I don't think any SG in history can score like Kobe from all ranges in as many ways. Kobe is literally the complete scorer.

Big O. No dis to Kobe, but he's probably one of the last guys considered top 20 that I'd pick to build around. He would never be my first pick to start a team.

To be clear, yes Robertson was listed as a PG, but at 6'5, 205 lbs...he's essentially the same size as Kobe (6'6, 200 lbs)

25.7 PPG
7.5 RPG
9.5 APG
.485 FG%

Bryant:
25.4 PPG
5.3 RPG
4.8 ASG
.451 FG%

Most would argue that quality of play has improved since the 1960s and Robertson's heyday and thus Kobe's numbers would be greater

But they are both legendary players.




*FYI -- The 3-point shot was not available during Robertson's career so it's difficult to say whether he could shoot consistently at that range.
