Pub manager who smuggled cannabis sweets and phone cards into prison in her MOUTH for her boyfriend is jailed
A pub manager has been jailed after being caught smuggling cannabis sweets into prison for her boyfriend.
Montana Robertson, 23, hid the drug and three mobile phone SIM cards in her mouth during a visit to HMP Parc in Bridgend, South Wales.
But she was arrested after being caught when she was searched by staff at the category B prison.
Newport Crown Court heard when police searched Robertson’s home they found cannabis jellies and cannabis gelato worth £70.
Kathryn Lane, prosecuting, said Robertson claimed to have ‘done it through peer pressure’.
‘She said she was 23 years old and ought to have known better,' Ms Lane added.
Robertson pleaded guilty to two counts of bringing a prohibited article into prison and one of possession of cannabis.
Nigel Fryer, defending, said: ‘It is an absolute tragedy that she finds herself here. She was the manager of a pub in Cardiff which she has lost.’
