I remember there was an old Wilt Chamberlain story about a block of his that was called goaltending. He said it was a clean block (like 12-13 feet in the air) and when he went to argue with the ref about it, the ref told him something like, "what I just saw wasn't humanly possible, so I had to call something."
That's what the Brown play was too.
