I was being serious. Rather than write a long explanation I decided to write a metaphor. It's a little corny, but I wrote it off the top of the dome. It got my point across I think.
I do think they're lost and blinded by obstacles in their environment they can't control. No black person is average. Even if they present themselves as average. All that means is they haven't recognized their true self.
I would love to tell them that and have them accept and understand it. They won't, they don't understand because they don't know. They're so focused on not failing and surviving they can't see the whole field of play.
I'm talking about the future and the past. They can't focus on that when they're preoccupied with the present.
I can't stop pushing forward on my path to save anyone. I know I'm doing the right thing to have the options I want in life. I can't argue with or convince someone who doesn't see the end goal. Its a waste of resources.
