Serious question: What do you tell someone who recently lost their mom?

I personally lost my mom last year and look at nikkas like when they say this. People mean it out of respect but it never comes off good. Don't say shyt, theres nothin you can say. Just keep their mind off it.

I have plenty of friends that have lost their mother and I just don't really say anything about it unless they want to talk about it. Other than that, I just keep it moving.
