Tariq has the gift of gab. People of all races gravitate towards people with the gift of gab. If you have the gift of gab and some style and swagger, which Tariq has, the magnetism is even stronger. Obama, KRS One, Oprah Winfrey, Joe Rogan, Tupac, Kevin Samuels, Howard Stern, Steve Harvey....these are just a few other examples of people who have the gift of gab with a particular style and swagger.
KRS ONE?

Lot of people are just stupid. Some might call it low IQ but I view it more as a collection of mental failures: poor reading comprehension, questionable education (specifically on history), poor critical thinking, and a general disdain for education that has led to the previous deficits mentioned. When people don't want basic education they'll go out their way to find information that caters to their pre-conceived notions. That's how people end up believing vaccines are bad, the earth is flat, or (in this case) black people are not from Africa. Or the weird phrenology shyt Tariq peddles. You have to just be so far gone intellectually to fall for this stuff.

He attracts people who are:

Ignorant
Directionless and seek guidance
Uneducated, directionless and gullible, not informed on the issues
Angry & bitter toward other races, hates immigrants
Have a victimization complex/defense wall that makes them overreact to criticism or disagreements
Have sexist tendencies
Have a misguided egocentric belief (borderline narcissism) of what the black man is suppose to represent.

In many ways he attracts the same qualities of black men that are in white supremacists. It's partially why their talking points overlap.

A better question is why are people who don’t like him, are so obsessed with him?

I used to listen to him years ago. Haven’t paid much attention to him over the past 5 or 6 years, but I just find it weird that the haters watch him and post about him more than those who like him.
Ding Ding Ding.

Its usually people who hate watch him and then run over here to tell us all the stupid shyt he says so we can go in.

I don't think that's necessary anymore we know what Tariq is all about at this point. I been stopped paying attention.

You obviously never been to a KRS One show. KRS will pull you in with his words. Just talking to the audience you are going to pay close attention. But not just on stage. I'll never forget back in the 90's when KRS compared Gangster Rap to the Star Spangled banner on the Lizza Gibbons show. At first the audience was offended but then once he started driving his point home he won the audience over and KRS kept hitting Lizza in the head to where she had to go to another panel member. LOL. When this episode dropped I was familiar with KRS but the way he broke his point down forced me to pay attention to him from there on to where I really became a fan.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
Because people hate admitting when they're wrong

Look at the things people "love" and "hate." Usually, they made a judgment, and made it a point to stick with that NO MATTER WHAT. If it's someone/something you didn't like, you'll fight to the death that it's still bad, no matter what new evidence comes out. Same with if you loved it........

This is why people get stuck on things that change, like political parties, yet can't bring themselves to say "damn I was wrong" or "damn they switched up" and instead will fight tooth and nail about "how it's really not what it seems.... It's actually what I've been saying all along...." type of nonsense

So yea... At some point this man was really on some pro black shyt and doing it well.... But now too many can't swallow their pride and say "damn he's totally different and probably a grifter" so they grasp at straws so THEY won't be wrong. They don't even care themselves... But they gotta be right
