He did establish that. Problem is we are using current day linguistics to interpret what He said during His ministry.

I believe you're believing Paul over Jesus which is why you come to the conclusion you do. Just remember that Jesus warned the Ephesians of a false apostle in Revelation 2:2. Remember who wrote a book in the bible to the Ephesians?
:mjpls:

I wholly agree Israel is God's chosen people but the prophets didn't fulfill prophecy they gave it. Jesus fulfilled prophecy, healed the sick, cured the diseased, fed thousands and raised the dead. Jesus was killed for none of the things I described but was killed for saying He was equal to God. They were very aware of their own texts.

You're not supposed to believe because of signs of miracles.

If Jesus told the people that God was greater than himself, than I think its clear thats what he wanted YOU to walk away with. Not him saying one thing, then waiting till Paul came to fully explain things.

Jesus in speaking to the church of Ephesus was referring to being deficient in love. Read the entire message and not just the one verse.

Jesus said exactly what he had to. Because of Him we have eternal life and because of Paul we have most of the N.T. which Jesus also talked about.

Revelation 2:2
I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked people, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false.

Yea I thought I had read it correctly. Here you sees it says (again to Ephesus) that they have "tried those who claim to be apostles BUT ARE NOT". Now is there anyone in the bible that CLAIMED to be an apostle?

Ephesians 1:1
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God,
To the saints who are in Ephesus, and faithful in Christ Jesus:

Now you can IGNORE that Jesus said that false prophets would come(Matthew 7:15), and you can also IGNORE that the God of Israel said false prophets would come as well (Deuteronomy 13:1-5) if you want. I dont think it would be wise to though.

Jesus said exactly what he had to. Because of Him we have eternal life and because of Paul we have most of the N.T. which Jesus also talked about.

I'd say (and by Jesus words he would agree) that God Almighty, the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob is greater than Jesus. If Jesus meant this God when he said "the Father is GREATER THAN I" then he'd agree. If you have to go to Paul to show why Jesus meant different, than I'd try "testing every spirit" as your text suggests(1 John 4:1)So if anything, you need to give God glory for all that you have if thats what you're looking for. But if you want to ignore the fact that it was written that false prophets would come leading to other gods, AND ignore the FACT that "Jesus" said that many would come in his name to deceive, then I guess thats on you.

Again, I dont think it would be wise. But hey I warned you.....

John 14:6
Do people realized that the Old Testament is about the fall of man and the promise of a Redeemer and the New Testament is about the fulfillment of that prophecy with Jesus's sacrifice on the Cross and His Ressurection? Why do you think the people were looking for the Christ in the Gospels? It was the 69th week of Daniel and they knew the Messiah had to be on the Earth at that time. They seemed to have forgotten the other part of the prophecy which is that the Messiah would be killed but not for Himself (Jesus's bloodshed at Calvary was the eternal atonement of sins for mankind).

What is God's opinion on suicide?
Why are we held to universal standards despite all being born in different predicaments?

Why does he have to punish his non-believers? Why cant he just reward his believers and just cut off conciousness for his non-believers in the after life? Why does he have to torture them?

If you're born to a muslim family in a muslim country where non-Muslims get killed, you're probably going to be a muslim so why should that person be punished for something he had no control over?

Good question.... my thought that suicide is in direct conflict with what God has in store for a person. Free will allows us to do what we want.

God doesn't punish anyone wrongly. What you may refer to as punishment I would say God will not force anyone into Heaven against their will.

God is absolute truth (some exercise their free will and choose not to believe) and with truth also goes with righteousness, love, joy and the standard of morality. God can not be around sin and Jesus is the only way to salvation. It is not God who separates it is us as individuals.

That is known as the Genetic Fallacy. Just because people are born in a Muslim land does not automatically mean they will always be Muslim. If you have a chance (and a desire) look up the name Nabeel Qureshi. He wrote a book called Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus.

Also there are many others who have been born in other countries under different religions and still find Jesus. It matters little where a person was born if they choose to seek the truth.

People choose to either ignore, subdue, hide, and distort the truth. Even in the Koran it says Allah told Mary her son Jesus would be righteous. Mohammed didn't even get called that. Which by definition means:
Full Definition of RIGHTEOUS
1
: acting in accord with divine or moral law : free from guilt or sin
2
a : morally right or justifiable <a righteous decision>

It is not God that separates us, it is us. I also say to this day nothing discovered historically disproves the Bible. As of right now that statement is still 100% true. We either accept it or don't.

So what do you think happens to non-believers and people who commit suicide?

And as for the bolded, yes it does. You have much more of a chance of finding God if you're born in raised in New York as opposed to being born and raised in New Allahakbarstan. If God is fair and just, why should someone in NYC have all the opportunities in the world to find the truth while someone else is brainwashed from birth to be Muslim. They didnt get to choose the environment they grow up in so why should they be punished for that?

If you're born and raised in a Muslim environment then guess what pal? 95 percent chance you end up as a Muslim. They shouldnt be punished for having to overcome drastic odds to find God while some other lucky guy gets in because he happened to be born and raised in the bible belt

They will be judged on what they have done thus far in life (not as bad as some of these fake t.v. preachers but that's for another topic). It is almost impossible to go through life and not hear in some way shape or form about God and Jesus. There is something inside of all of us that considers life valuable.

Jesus is in the Koran. ALL Muslims that read it know about Him. In the Koran Jesus is talked about more than Mohammed. Only if you suppress it you will stay Muslim. The book you go to multiple times a day called Jesus righteous, a signs and miracles worker, a great prophet. What was so special about Jesus that Mohammed could not duplicate? That is the point were people should look into the claims. Even the year is written 2014 A.D. which means Anno Domini which means the Year of our Lord. Jesus can be found anywhere.....

Jesus referred to Himself as the way, the TRUTH, and the life. If the truth is right and someone rejects it they are wrong. Many people would rather believe an uncomfortable lie than an inconvenient truth. A persons free will is the final decision for what they choose to believe.

Some of the largest porn consumers are in the Bible Belt, most of the adulterers are there also.

So you dont think non-believers are sent to a lake of fire for all of eternity?

And I'm not saying its impossible for someone in a Muslim nation to find God but it certainly isnt probable. We're all products of our environment. If you'e born in ATL, there are churches on every corner and Christians are everywhere. If you're born in Iraq, its all Allah everything and you have to jump through hoops to get into Christianity. It isnt likely and it certainly isnt fair and just imo.

They are sent there do to their own free will choice.

If you are born in ATL there are churches, mosques and universities (you might graduate as an agnostic) which in itself is not a guarantee to which religion you may end up in if any at all.

An individual's free will is the final determine as to what a person does. Not where they are born (the genetic fallacy argument).

I commend you for being so highly intelligent. You know ALLOT about the bible and what's God's propose is in life...

I wish I can be highly educated in religion like you. Even though I know a little bit about the bible, I still have a long way to go in that department. I don't consider myself a christian because I don't go to church every Sunday ( Sabbath day). I do TRY to fellow their ways (christian ways).

I have a question. My question is how do I deal with the whole "homosexuality" that's going around in this world. I don't like nor do I support it.. I had an agruement with my friend, and I told him I will disown a friend, family member, or even my own seed if they turn to the other side. I won't kill or beat a gay person, that's not in my jurisdiction. My friend even said they need to be help, and I agree, but ONLY if they WANT/NEED'S help to change their ways. He said God said never to judge people, I agree with his statements, but I told him God don't tolerate "homosexuality". But then he bought up the Jesus references and I didn't know what to say after that.. I don't want to be a friend with a homo guy because it will corrupt "good morals". Plus it will go against everything I said as a man. How will I "help" someone when they keep doing the same nasty things.... :scust:

I've seen dykes that BELIEVED in GOD and fellow his ways, but she loves women.... I've seen an gay "pastor" that believes in GOD and read the BIBLE, but sleeps with men.. :why:

I just don't like it. That's why I'm not friends with the gays, trannies, witchcraft... I was born and raised in the Caribbeans, and I can't tolerate that... You know how some of us island people are...

Leviticus 18:22
You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination
1 Corinthians 6:9-11
Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

You seem to know allot. Please give me advice. Every-time a friend, family member, brings up that topic, I get very angry/furious.. God knows I'm an arrogant man, and I know I'm not perfect. I've made mistakes everyday, and fail in life. But that's the one thing I can't tolerate... :camby::dahell:

Romans 10:9. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, God has raised him from the dead and believe it in your heart you are saved.

It's not about going to church every Sunday. There are people who attend church their entire lives and still are not saves. When you get into religion you will see man made rules and that interferes with the way to Jesus.

Jesus said the greatest commandment was to love God with all you are and love your neighbor as yourself. Bible thumpers have lost sight of that.

I have a couple friends who bat for the other team. They know where I stand but I don't morally bash them. I show them love. I try to reason with them and show them the end game of where the road they are on will lead. Read up on Oscar Wilde to get a better understanding. No one was more about that life than him. After evaluating all the debauchery he did in his life the last thing he did was to call for a priest.

Showing love is the best way to connect with others. Some don't even know what love is and what you see is a shield to hide their inner selves.

Many have shown hatred and are forgotten. Jesus showed love and is forever remembered. Pray and ask for guidance according to God's will and the way will be provided.

You might be right. But it's still going to take time for me to try to HELP some-one if they WANTS/NEEDS help. I can't help some-one if they keep doing the same thing everyday, and not willing to change. That's why God gave all of us free will. I just can't help someone that's not willing to change, and sleeping with their counter part's any other day, and you expect me to smile and laugh with him?

It's like a murder killing dozens of people and he's not willing to change even if you try to convince/help him, but he's not willing to stop killing people. You expect me to love and help the killer?

Like I said it's going to take time for me to consider your advice, but I going to do some more research. Thanks for your advice..

By being loving and caring you just might be in a position for them to come to you when they are ready to talk.

Almost everyone could answer the following question the same way:

Are you most likely to confide in someone who has shown you love or someone who doesn't?
