Next year, top PG free agents are in the mix.

With Hornacek... he's going to use the sample size of Rose playing - whether that be 20 games or 70- as a brochure with what he can do with a driving dynamic guard.

This is a retooling.

Trying to capitalize on the weak East while having options to move forward.

Some of their bench (Galloway, Thomas, Early, Williams, Afflalo if he comes back) could flourish in more limited roles now that Rose, Melo, a slightly more mature KP, and hopefully a competent 5 can take the pressure off. A lot of those dudes have talent, but were expected to do way too much with the garbage roster we've had in the past years.
