it's really up to the refs / front office

I could see the refs / front office wanting the Clips or OKC in the finals over the Spurs this season

The Nets ain't the Thunder, though. Furthermore, I don't think the Heat were at full strength for any of those regular season losses to the Nets (I am pretty sure at least one of the big three missed each game). SA's top guys played in all of those games against OKC and the Spurs still lost. Not saying it would be easy, but OKC can take the Spurs quicker than the Clippers can.

False, SA was healthy for both games in OKC but the two in SA they were missing guys. Leonard also broke his hand in the 2nd game in SA and right after he was out, Durant went off. The last game in OKC, Durant went off when Leonard got his 3rd foul early as well.

The problem for the teams left is that they are not nearly as deep as the Spurs...

You got Diaw, Manu, Boss Belli, Patty coming off the bench...

If all 4 of them play poorly you can win that game...

If 1 plays good you will be in it until the end and it will just be a toss up...

If 2 play good then you had better be perfect in your defensive rotations or they are just going to slowly pull away from you...

if 3 play good forget it you are going to get blown out of the water...

They are the only teams left who's bench can consistently turn a 7 point lead into an 18 point lead in a hurry...

Pretty much, when Manu is getting in the lane and not turning the ball over, while belli and patty cakes are making shots...they are just about the greatest offense in NBA history...

Everybody looks to that Dallas series as the blueprint to beating the Spurs...

The spurs missed a ton of open shots in that series...and Pop just straight up conceded 2 games for whatever reason...game 2 and 6 he was just like "fukk this we will get the next one"...

They play like they been playing the last 3 games...Yikes
Rick Carlisle be coaching his ass off. I still don't know exactly what he did, but he went under almost every pick and roll, and let Parker shoot. And he never doubled Parker and stayed with all the shooters. Dalembert is an underrated rim protector btw. Basically he dared Parker to beat them, which is the opposite of what Miami did in the finals. And Parker was off and seemed flustered until game 7 when he took over.

Of course they need more than a one man show, but Leonard cannot stop durant, he can only make it tougher. Noone can shut down durant. Nobody. You just hope he has a bad shooting night. They might frustrate him for a game or two, but you can't play him too close because refs give him calls, and you can't stay too far away from him or he'll beat you with the jumpers and nobody can check Westbrook either.
You can't play that two-man offense against the Spurs, they'll ice all that shyt on the PNR leaving Perkins or Adams out on an island and double down on Ibaka while Kawhi pins Durant. Danny will be able to matchup with Westbrook too.

Westbrook won't be able to take his guitar and talk a walk in the park against the Spurs, like he's doing with LA.
There's just two much brute scoring power from westbrook da gawd and durant for them to deal with them for a whole series.
Thunder will have to not only match the Spurs' bench production but make up for all the other spots where they ain't putting up #s.

Thunder will handle the Spurs. They've dominated them all season for good reason. Spurs don't want it with them plain and simple.
Nah, no team in the league can 'handle' the Spurs, they're too well-drilled and talented for that to happen.
Only chance the spurs have is if they shoot an absurd percentage from the field.
Thunder won't be able to stop the Spurs from getting theirs. They'll outsmart them pretty much all series long, due to Pop v Brooks, it'll come down to Durant and Westbrook going apeshyt for them to progress - any type of misstep and it'll be hard for them to recover.

Until the Spurs become too old, neither the Clippers nor OKC are fukking with them. In this case it looks like OKC will face the Spurs in the WCF, and then it'll be a rematch of last years finals.

You think they beat OKC, I think OKC beats them. :manny: OKC prolly gonna be favored like -130 or something to win that series.

:whoa:

That's not what I'm saying at all.

I'm just saying it's not gonna be as clear cut as you make it seem. However, the Thunder have a larger margin of error than the Spurs do.

To be honest, I think the fakkit ass league is gonna drag this shyt out to 7 with the officiating, I dunno, I think too much about everything. I don't know whether I can trust if these series are just allowed to happen however without influence.

I think Thunder will have a slow start to the series, everyone overreacts, then they pull the okey doke and body them in 6-7.
