He still does a good job, but he's lost his bite.
Jon Oliver tackles things in a much better way, but maybe he's afforded that luxury because he's on HBO.
You get the feeling he wants to snap and just go on an expletive-laden rant on Fox News...but it also has to be so draining for him to constantly point out Fox News' bullshyt.

I just can't get down with white liberals. 
They see how fukked shyt is for us, yet at the end of the day, they enjoy the privilege that's part and parcel of that racism. And they're not willing to walk away from it. Most of these white liberals work at companies that're almost exclusively white and live in almost exclusively white neighborhoods. But they can assuage their white guilt by clapping at Jon Stewart and Bill Maher routines about Fox News and conservatives. If you're white and TRULY understand that you're privileged and that you have to reject that privilege to truly stand up to racism, I 
you and will welcome you. But if you're just making jokes about those Fox News rednecks and not really making the sacrifice that every white person who wants to fight racism will have to do, I can't fukk with you.

they both have huge teams of writers behind them, it's not like they think up all this shyt themselves. Oliver's show is way better than I could've imagined though

That's a good question, because white supremacy is so entrenched in our society that it's seamlessly integrated and almost unnoticeable to a lot of us, black and white. I'm asking for the kind of sacrifice that has a white person questioning why they're treated so much better than that black guy over there. The kind of sacrifice that might lose you a lot of your white "friends." A sacrifice that has you questioning HR about why most of the people in your department are white. A sacrifice that sees you speaking up when some white guy makes an off color remark about black people at a party of whites. Those are two examples, but there are many more I can cite. White people can't just wake up black and understand what it means to be black in America. I know that. Again, the privilege is something they've enjoyed since birth. But if a white person is to truly fight racism, they have to take certain steps that will almost certainly result in them losing most of their white friends. And if they're not willing to do that, then, they're full of shyt.

This kind of assumes that all my white friends are racist does it not? I don't hang around racists or people who make racist comments, my best friend is black and we have three black people in our "crew" one time someone invited some random over while we were all drinking and having a good time and he was trying to be funny by using the N word and I went off on him and basically told him to shut the fukk up, I have to say it's extremely rare for me to see/hear overtly racist things but I will always call out white people if they say racist shyt, and I definitely agree white people need to be way better about snuffing out racism amongst themselves.

I get that this is more of a general rant, but isnt Jon Stewart doing his part? Hes an exception to the sentiment of 'actions speak louder then words'.... Because, as a TV host, his words are his actions.I just can't get down with white liberals.

He's a cliche white liberal but he always get's his point across clearly. He did so with Micheal Brown and the Zimmerman trial .
And as far as the highlighted I can't believe this at all. We've had threads about white people who have done this, for example that white guy who has seminars and speeches about white privilege and how it fukks up the US, and ya'll said they were trying too hard.
Not to mention, how exactly would a person reject a privilege given to them so often they don't even know when it is in effect?
Go to a job interview and ask "Now you're not just hiring me because I'm white right?"
Apply for a loan and be like " Now you're not just giving me this loan because I'm white, are you?"
