I just can't get down with white liberals. They see how fukked shyt is for us, yet at the end of the day, they enjoy the privilege that's part and parcel of that racism. And they're not willing to walk away from it. Most of these white liberals work at companies that're almost exclusively white and live in almost exclusively white neighborhoods. But they can assuage their white guilt by clapping at Jon Stewart and Bill Maher routines about Fox News and conservatives. If you're white and TRULY understand that you're privileged and that you have to reject that privilege to truly stand up to racism, I you and will welcome you. But if you're just making jokes about those Fox News rednecks and not really making the sacrifice that every white person who wants to fight racism will have to do, I can't fukk with you.

blacks have enough enemies in this country. as corny as they are, white liberals really do try to help. if they stand up and refuse any jobs they are getting on the basis of skin color, they wouldnt be able to infiltrate the higher levels of corporations or government to try and help out minorities.

I had a professor say the only people who can successfully teach other whites about racism and privilege is white people. Otherwise it's in one ear and out the other.



I respect Jon because he isn't afraid to call people out. Oliver's show annoys me because he makes jokes and that's it and leaves people laughing at the disgusting things around the world. JS will actually call people out on their bs. He also isn't afraid to call out Israel.

Did you watch the video? Jon Stewart doesn't just make jokes about Fox News.
He's a cliche white liberal but he always get's his point across clearly. He did so with Micheal Brown and the Zimmerman trial .

And as far as the highlighted I can't believe this at all. We've had threads about white people who have done this, for example that white guy who has seminars and speeches about white privilege and how it fukks up the US, and ya'll said they were trying too hard.

Not to mention, how exactly would a person reject a privilege given to them so often they don't even know when it is in effect?
Go to a job interview and ask "Now you're not just hiring me because I'm white right?"
Apply for a loan and be like " Now you're not just giving me this loan because I'm white, are you?"

I didn't mean to imply that there aren't white people out here who are truly riding for the cause. But they are very rare, let's be honest. And Jon Stewart is a millionaire who makes his money mocking conservatives. I find him funny, but he's not that far removed from Rush Limbaugh, in that he gets paid to spend every evening trashing conservatives just as Limbaugh spends every afternoon trashing so-called liberals. And how do you reject a privilege that is "given to them so often they don't even know when it is in effect"? I already said that it's difficult since white privilege is a seamless part of society, almost a given that even black people shrug their shoulders at. It isn't easy, but it means doing something along the lines of the examples you gave. It means not working for a company that is clearly discriminating based on race. It means not living in a neighborhood that is clearly one of those "sundown" towns that has only white faces. That is the kind of "sacrifice" I'm speaking of. If you're not willing to do that, then you're not sincere.
