P lyrically was one of those nikkas who used to fukk nikkas in in school on the low where everyone was in class....and when he got done fukin u up...him nor you ever talked about taking your L.............thats prodigy in hip hop..................and most of the Ls people say Prodigy has took still hasn't been proven til this day (i didnt say all but more than most)

i u got a problem with current prodigy its nothing to play a good 3-4 tracks from his past which will balance his current shyt..............and personally nikkas aint even worth the Old P anymore..hip hop has changed............there is nothing to be hungry about anymore nowadays everything is close to easy access

Not sure how i would rank him but he's definitely a legend to me

His verse on Survival Of The Fittest is one of my favourite verses of all time. Not sure why but that just always stuck with me

On another note, theres no doubt he fell off since then, but was i the only one who thought that Black Cocaine Ep was dope?

To me he is top 3 ever and my favourite rap artist.

1 - Jay-Z
2 - Pac
3 - Prodigy.
4 - Nas
5 - Kanye (:ehh: sue me)

:russ:

f*ck outta here n!gga, :russ:. i should slap the sh!t outta you for puttin rusty ass Prodigy above Nas. Prodigy aint even top 30. he had a spark when he started, but now, and for the last 10+ years, he's just garbage. he's a talker, lol, that sh!t aint even rapping man, n!gga would probably hurt himself if he attempted to actually have a flow

Nas is the gr8est to eva do this raP thang. I've seen him in his prime as a 18 year old. I've seen Rakim as an 18 year old, seen KRS-1 in his prime too. I seen Jay in London during his hawaiian sophie days in london. Saw LL cool j rock the bells as a 17 year old live. Point I'm making is P in his prime stood shoulder to shoulder wit all of em.

Nas is my favourite rapper. he's the most creative, the most inspiring, the most realest on the story telling bar none none none-none none. My best friend's fave is P.

Now if we look back in history of NY rap P has always been viewed as the young un, the upstart, the voice of the anger youth and as such was treated as the wild little bro who needed checking now and again by (to quote P) the HNIC at the time like Nas and Pac and l8r on by Jay. P was gutter but dont let that have you take away his sonic brilliance, his ability to raP in tune, to be in perfect pitch. If you listen to his flow he would sing into his verse and keep you head nodding (no homo) to his melodic wave.

As a Nas fan I have to concede that when it came to the knock bar none has or had it like P - not even the gr8 Esco. He has some of the memorable lines in raP. what he says in a bar would take another raPper a whole verse to say. Including the gr8 God's Son.

In terms of imaGe & ability dude was the complete article when it came to gangster rap. In his prime he was number 3 only to Nas, Biggie in that order. Like Biggie he had the good fortune to have a toP in-house production team that complimented his voice, flow, and Pitch to perFecTion., unlike Nasty who has been v hit & miss throughout his career.

Since his Prime p has been nothing but consistent in his ability to release nothing but hawt mess. I think the TakeOver diss was something from which he failed to recover. If u r known for being a gangster and for projecting and promoting that imaGe having a picture of u in a tutu is NOT THE ONE. All of a sudden his persona started to unravel from he has not recovered. In his Prime P was toP 5 now on a descending slide it's hard to rate coz if I was to b totally objective I'd say toP 20.

Sun rises in the East
In his prime easily top 10 or so.

Right now, maybe top 20. But due to poor state of the game now, P sounds solid.

Dude needs to come out a new solo record where he straight kills it. No weak shyt.

in defense of p,he was like 5 or 6{if thats what I recalled}...

Jay pulls those antics to shy away from the actual battle of rapping...

He had fear of prodigy on the mic and used a tactic to deflect attention from actual battle rapping..And the fans took the bait...

And it went downhill from there
