2Pac is THE GOAT...
If he is not your favourite rapper, then guess what, your favourite rapper is just that, YOUR favourite rapper...
At this point the only arguments I am willing to consider are from...
1) Eminem fans...I only like 2 Eminem songs..."Loose Yourself" and "Who I am"...But I have to be objective and say that dude sold records, but not only that, he is respected by almost all the other people who sold records, and everybody else in between...
Eminem is possibly the Ultimate GOAT...That's based on record sales and respect from other people who are professional rappers...
2) Jay Z fans...Dude has transcended hip hop...Name a rapper who isn't slurping on Jigga's Camel sized nuts...? Again, record sales and respect from other professional rappers is all I need to formulate an opinion...
The crazy thing is, I personally believe that without his financial success, Jay Z's catalogue is pretty weak...I personally file Jay Z in the same lane as Ja Rule, Nelly, and other rappers who drop big singles, but I have NEVER been interested in listening to their catalogues...I have tried once, and found myself skipping to straight to the hits and singles...
However, the hip hop community respects his catalogue, and it shows in his album sales, and the respect other professional rappers show him...So, my feelings are just that, feelings...
Any other name you want to mention just DOES NOT belong...
Yes, Nas does NOT belong...He has the respect of other professional rappers, but what about the albums...?
Think about it, 2Pac didn't make poppy singles and gimmicky "Lauryn Hill stimulus package" type of singles...Dude was as hardcore as you could get in the mainstream, and he still outsold Nas by far...
So, it's not point disrespecting my point about albums sales by bringing Vanila Ice and Mc Hammer in the equation...
2Pac was hardcore and he beat Vanilla Ice and Mc Hammer, but Nas couldn't...So, the album sales angle is valid...
