To keep it a stack, the blame falls largely on the consumers. You kats that dislike the current scene don't put your money where your mouth is, so that artists that you actually like have no other choice than to appeal to the younger generation in hopes of making money.
That's even if you guys look for the artist. Too many people that grew up in the 90's / early-2000s expect an artists that appeals to them to be slapped on their plate when, for the reason stated above, that ain't happening.
It's 2020-goddamn-3, you can literally indulge in one of the many playlists that are curated to your musical tastes and further filter by "recently released" and find a plethora of songs by new artists.
Let's take some of the power into our own hands before we start losing our shyt...
Edit: I promise you, if Boom-Bap rap started churning out 60K first-weeks, A LOT of artists would hop on the trend.
