I agree. I have heard it for years too and I honestly have no idea why others deem them lower than them when to me they are all the same

Mexicans are the most known for sure but for all the wrong reasons. Think about how other Spanish speaking people migrate to this country. Cubans in the 60's fleeing from Castro and setting up shop in Miami. They had about a 25 year grace period before America saw their worst as Miami battled a cocaine trade. Even then most people in America will never see a Cuban because they rarely migrate outside of Florida or New York. Also a lot of them will get mistaken for white until they speak.
Puerto Ricans outside of Florida, Chicago, New York, Philly aen't heavy like that. They have a pretty favorable rep too because of their culture.
Dominicans are non existent outside of New York, Jersey and Florida. Again most Americans will never encounter one.

Just not enough of them like talking about. Mexicans are everywhere though and a lot of people for whatever reason don't like the fact that some come here illegally and what not. If they didn't have that stigma than they would be seen in a better light. No-one of any culture likes to be perceived as poor, uneducated or criminals. No different than mistaken a Jamaican for a Haitian. Jamaican perception is an island of cold drinks, fast runners dreads and marijuana.
Haiti not so much. There's beautiful people in all races though.
