what question? i can pretty much back down any argument you make by citing the fact that the people we're talking about are sneaking into the country illegally

They claim that the law says that the children and parents have to be separated. CNN has also noted that this happened in the Obama and Trump admins. My question is "why"? From a legal perspective. I don't see how the parents having to go to court has anything to do with their kids being taken from them, from a legal standpoint.

In what world are you not separated for your kids when you get arrested???? I think the left is using kids to make an emotional appeal when their real beef is with whether or not a crime was committed.

If I’m arrested tonight with my kids with me I’m being separated from them, possibly for a long time depending on the crime... it’s actually what’s suppose to happen.
