I think they are doing a slow tweaking of his character to more serious, which then in a few months can lead to a babyface turn. Probably gearing up for a Jeff Hardy feud is my guess when JH comes back.

For all the dumb things TNA has done in the past, like screw up the easiest best feud Storm vs Roode when Beer Money broke up, they have pushed EC3 slow and steady..not too fast like Crimson, and they haven't jobbed him out along the way.
