I do think they probably see the "Demon King" gimmick as a baby face character...with merch potential. so that heel turn probably won't happen

Hard to judge someone fairly when management books you as weak as possible. They've basically set everyone up to fail by design except cena and Roman the last ten years or so. Calling him a flop is disingenuous. They even went and took away his finisher.
