He was trying to insinuate that Rock got his reaction by mentioning the 5 boroughs of NY and wearing the Brooklyn Jacket. Here's what's wrong with his statement. The Rock got a huge pop just from his music playing alone. he could have been wearing jorts and a T shirt and he would have been a bigger reaction than Rollins could ever dream of getting. why? because Rock is a made guy. he is legit a legend, icon, etc.
he could have came out and read the 1st 5 pages of Moby dikk and the crowd would have chanted his name. Instead he choose to come out and give an ode to New York. if it's so easy to get that response, why aren't any of these current "stars" doing it? Rollins has had the world handed to him the last 3 years in the WWE. he's been in top storylines, feuds, matches, etc. he has literally been given the same role the Rock was given when he was the corporate champion. He has NO reason to be bytching. He should be getting huge responses himself. I've said this before about guys like Orton, Ziggler, and whoever else had a bytch fest over the Rock the last 3 years. don't be bitter, be better.
