I was listening to WFAN and it was said that MLB is still ahead of basketball in terms of popularity. I have no idea what Francesa was basing this on.. but I said to a friend that this year if the Heat are in the finals the viewership will kill any two teams in the World Series. I'm fairly certain the NBA Finals have killed the World Series over the last few years anyway.
He thinks there are a couple World Series match-ups that could eclipse a Heat vs. [insert Spurs, Thunder, etc] Finals.
I'm thinking MAYBE Yankees vs. Cubs could do it but I doubt it. I don't believe Dodgers vs. Yanks would do it either.
