You guys need to remember: the WWE is not a place to expect talented wrestlers, great talkers, interesting characters and entertaining personalities to get consistent pushes....or to even get a push at all.

If you don't have the right backstage connections, aren't related to the right people, don't have the right look, and/or aren't willing to do each and every single piece of bullshyt they may potentially ask you to do in order to be/stay as one of their 'top guys' (a factor that I think is overlooked when discussing why certain wrestlers don't get pushed)....then they don't give a shyt about you. Period.

You're just there to fill up the roster/card, to fill up middle-hour TV time, and to give their chosen ones a fresh new feud that they can use to get that chosen one further over, by eventually burying you. And God help you if they personally don't care for you but realize you somehow majorly got yourself over with the fans; I think we've all learned that from Bryan and Ryder.....they will literally try to push you down just to show everyone who's boss

Some fans complain about it....and yet the fans still pour money and views into the company; showing Vince and Co. that they don't need to give a shyt what fans think

I can't wait for this company to get serious competition again....I know in my heart it'll happen again one day.....

No doubt, you're preaching amongst the choir here. The good ol boy system is why the ratings trend downward the way they have over the last decade and likely will continue to.

Hornswoggle, Alex Riley released by WWE

Rumors started last night that May 6 may be the latest "Black Friday" for WWE contracted wrestlers, where the company releases several performers they don't have plans for in order to free up roster space and cut costs.

There are a few high profile names we're all watching for considering recent public spats with the company, but the first couple names to drop haven't been in the news - although they're no strangers to controversy:

The former Cruiserweight champ has featured prominently in a number of big stories, usually as a punchline, but still... he was Vince McMahon's illegitimate son, the anonymous Raw General Manager and the star of WWE Studios attempt to reboot theLeprechaun horror franchise. He also was suspended for Wellness policy violations.

Alex Riley has also been let go.

Despite being used sporadically in a couple of roles on NXT over the past year, there hasn't been much work for a guy who once walked to the main event of WrestleMania as The Miz's personal assistant.

Riley allegedly ran afoul of some pretty powerful people backstage, including John Cena, and his attitude was never described as an asset.

We join WWE in wishing Dylan "Honswoggle" Postl and Kevin "Alex Riley" Kiley luck in whatever comes next.

And keep our eyes open for more names on 2016's "Black Friday".

Sucks for the Sandow release, cause he played every character he was given to perfection, and could have at least been a solid mid card mainstay, especially for a guy who was decent in the ring, and was loaded with charisma and promo skills.

Riley had some potential too, and i felt like he did even with his HHH 99-01 look in NXT, especially after some of those promos he gave. Just seemed like he'd be eventually released.

Fully understand Barrett's stance. Injuries aside, he was another guy who did everything right, and had opportunities squandered. Xena killed him off during Nexus, he started getting over on his own during the Bad News Barrett phase, then the WWE had "budget cuts" and took his entrance away, along with making him lose his catchphrase that the crowd was really responding to. Then he comes back to win KOTR, and proceeds to lose more matches than Ziggler, and finally is finished off in the LON stable that was solely put together to attempt to draw cheers for Roman Reigns. Good luck to them. Cameron, Torito and Hornswoggle can kick rocks. I am sad that Crap Swagger isn't on that list though, in place of other people.
