Several months later... what's y'all opinion on the song "Holy Grail"?

It's all right, but it can get to be annoying. JT is singing way too much to open up the song, to the point where it almost feels like Jay should've given him a 16 and let him keep the track. There's also something unintentionally funny about "You stiiiiillllllll alive you still that nikka nikka you survived.......still gettin bigga nikka....illest alive...michael jackon thriller nikka."

Sounds like an alternative opening sequence to Dawson's Creek..

Struggles bars, broken flow, sappy hook, ducktales...

I think it sucks....And Im a Jay-Z Stan....

"Jay stans are just fakkits who's pops never played catch with them or took them to an open gym...I'm convinced most of them dont even like hip hop music, women or Black people..."

Its alright breh. I like you but you got to take the L on that one. You walked yourself into a trap

Might be my least favorite song on the album. I seemed to have liked the project more than most but that is theeeeeeeeee fukking worst song on there.

For one...for a nikkas that's known for fire intro's, it's his worst, no debate.

Then you have him and justin really clashing...in fact it sounds like the song was already done and jay just kinda phoned it in, the concept tries to hard to cover up the copy and paste job it really sounds like i'm listening to two different songs at once.

And i'm a fan of justin be he sounded uninspired as well, shyt was just a clusterfukk. Had it been in the middle of the album kinda shoved in there it might not have been as upsetting, starting the CD off with that makes it stick out that much more.

Terrible.
This song is in the same league as "Things That U Do", "Ghetto Techno", and the whole Blueprint 3 album.
:scusthov:

On the low, I like things that you do, he merked that...on the low...

Hook was just a little too wavy for nikkas of that time period, it was too pretty.

the real hiphop.
Horrible. I was hyped as fukk for it when I heard the beat for it on that Samsung promo. The result was disappointing to say the least.

JT's part was just bad (and I like his stuff), the intro was waaaay too long. Jay felt uninspired and lazy, like on almpst every other track on the album. And that Nirvana part was just one of Jigga's corniest moments ever.

My daughter was bumping that track the other day. Track is going down as one of the great hiphop/pop collaboration a mind blowing first track to a nice album too
