Agreed. A rare miss from the show. I actually found the story reveals really interesting. But gahd dayum was it slow as hell. And I love a slow burn.

They've gone to the "Cobel intensely stares at another character ... they stare back" well one too many times this season.

Same. I don’t understand the hype beside the visuals and the interior design pieces. I was bored out my mind.

I think it is one of those shows that’s cool to say you like—it gives off a certain intellectual or in-the-know vibe. Kind of like having the latest iPhone or carrying a Starbucks cup. It’s part genuine appreciation, part social currency.

That may have been true 20 years go but now most things are niche. I doubt any of the people in this thread or most others would even talk about most of these shows outside of a forum unless it’s with their significant other.

The only cultural touchstones are Squid Games and Stranger Things.

Most people aren’t watching the same things. At least not enough to have social value.

This episode was a bounce-back from last week’s (quite low-bar), but I’m annoyed at how molasses-like the plot is moving with only one episode to go.

It’s mind-boggling because the show is extremely well-crafted on the technical front, with great performances, and the intrigue stays drawing me in. There was a nice balance between vibes and actual plot progression in the first season and I’m just not feeling it here in the latter half. Not sure what happened.

I think the Cold Harbor meter messed things up.

The first season essentially took place over the course of 3 months(a quarter) so even though it was only 9 epoisodes that felt like enough time for the team to form.

This second season, is basically three weeks max but Cold Harbor has randomly gone from 68 to 96 with no gauge on how long it took.
So there’s no logic on how Cobel went to Salt’s neck and back to Kier.
