:francis: I can't accept that he's pure evil...I'm not ready to make that conclusion! :sadbron:
I don’t think he is. I think his blackness feels a sense of kinship to the innies since they’re literally slaves. That’s why he tries to humanize them as much as possible but is struggling with his poor job performance as a result.

Respectfully I completely disagree with this

Milchik isn’t loyal to the innies at all, he’s manipulative and controlling and still trying to prove himself as a capable manager of the Severed floor…he has no kinship to them at all, just trying to get them and specifically Mark, to complete Cold Harbor as quickly as possible

I agree for the most part. But he’s still kinder to them than Cobel was. You think that’s just his character overall?

Not AVXL, but wanted to chime in.

I think Milcheck is a company man. He believes in the work but he’s not a lifelong Lumon devotee the way Cobel was. He hasn’t been raised under Kier’s philosophy. He and Natalie both exist in this space where they have been brought into the core Lumon group but as outsiders.

The Kindness reforms in season 2 came from him because that’s who he is. The break room went away with Cobel. He is the one who did the egg bars, dance experience, fruit party, etc. The only task Milcheck and Ms Huang share is greeting outies. Ms Cobel always kept it at punishment and office meetings.

Anyone else feel like every black character is kind of out of place? I feel like there’s a deeper reason for the black populace in this city and on this show. That encounter with Milkshake and Natalie kind of solidified this for me

Also, I’ve never been a snow bunny chaser but red haired white women just hit different.

Helly is dreamy

I also wish they would bring back the doula. Something about her was very attractive to me

Perfectly in place.

Sydney, Seth, Reghabi and Dylan - all get to be Black in ways that don't rely on the same ole tropes and "signals". The whole double consciousness/coded exchange that Syd had with Milkshake was about as much as was needed imo.

The show would be horrible if they made the characters like Anthony Anderson in Blackish or any of the corporate middle class black people of Insecure. (Which is a lot of wish fulfillment on the part of Black writers, imo)

Moreover, you're not gonna get a conversation about how Miss Casey and Miss Huang not keeping it real Asian either. (Unless of course you're on one of those AZN!!! sub reddits)

That seems to be the implication

All we actually know is the police, paid by Lumon probably, reported an accident and identified a body, provided by Lumon.

Gemma doesn’t seem to have any scars

And the infographic card, the same one Dylan stole, she was looking at were from Lumon so she was reading into their philosophy. She was being indoctrinated
So I guess it was implied that goodbye to Mark on that night was more than she let on?

Yea. I think she was so obsessed with having a baby she was starting to fall for all the Lumon bs.

Yea. I think she was so obsessed with having a baby, that she left her self open to fall for Lumon’s indoctrination. I think she signed up willingly, thinking Lumon helping her have a baby would save her marriage that was clearly slipping away. Whether she knew they would fake an accident is up in the air. I’d assume she didn’t.

Got into this late but this is probably one of the best shows on television in recent memory.

I don't watch TV, just television. Last truly great show I was on was Barry

The cinematography and photography in this show has been superb. Contrasts of color, etc mirror the mood of the scenes perfectly

Amazing cinematography, glad I'm not the only one that noticed.
