Get the fukk outta here with this bullshyt. Nothing in the Bay is even close to the bitter cold/winds from the Midwest and east. Hurricane level gusts in the Bay would be like a Caribbean breeze compared to Michigan in the winter.

@ whoever said to go pick up hos at hilltop mall, probably the worse mall in the entire bay area. these dudes suggesting that are either 15 years old or poor. plus who'd go out of their way to go to richmond when SF has westfield and union square

that's why SF's demographics are majority white + asian men

There is a reason why women in the Bay Area are referred to as 49ers.....Girls that are 4s but act like 9s (the male to female ratio is beyond fukked up)

Detroit has a decent metro. True about those winters though. I think the midwest 3nd tier cities are better then East coast cities. While the East Coast has NYC, its also has Camden,Newark, Trenton, Buffalo, Bridegport, Providence,etc. Aside from Gary, East St louis, and Flint. Midwest isn't that bad.

Compared to LA, SF, NY, Seattle, and DC. Detroit is a dump. IMO, Detroit is a dump period.

i understand where the OP is coming from in regards to the ppl out here, especially SF. i'm sick of these "transplants," hippies, geeky programmers/tech and hype beast clowns. I was in SF a few weeks ago and i saw girls wearing sun dresses with military boots i don't even bother dealing with girls from SF anymore to be honest. I try to stick with walnut creek, concord, oakland, san jose and berkeley to a small degree.

the nightlife might not be that great but other than that, everything else is only a few hours away, the beach, snow, camping, nice restaurants everywhere, a lot of tourist attractions and places to visit. the cost of living makes me wonder if it's worth it tho.

I had no idea that Phoenix and Portland are that cheap. I wonder why Californias are moving to those locations in a hurry.

The cost is living in San Diego is similar to the cost here?
