AI shot 47% his full season with Carmelo. AI was inefficient because he was the only scorer on a playoff team, his best #2 before Melo was a washed up C Webb

But is the question who would one choose in a trade in their peaks, who had the best year 7, first 7 years or what is it?
As usual we have to adjust for defense, which makes it hard to just compare peak year performance when it's so close. According to Iverson he would probably average 55 now. But if SGA shot as reckless as AI he would probably also average 55

I dunno about #2 but i do know that AI had a "stacked" roster with all the spacing he could need relative to his era yet still shot 37% in a 5 game first round smacking by the Spurs in 07 as a 7th seed and 43% on the wrong side of a 4-game sweep as an 8th seed to the Lakers. Utah had a higher seed and deeper playoff runs during that stretch.

I wasn't really saying THE #2, just the position as a 2nd scorer to Iverson.

That was Melos team and rightfully so, but I think giving AI the keys would have worked w lil better at that time

AI was inefficient because he was 6'0" and played ball his way. We're talking an entire career not one season. And he never shot 47% in any season.
