There's an airport employee and witnesses telling them a story that contradicted what Christian told them. Clearly he was covering for her so no that shouldn't have been the end of it. The only way to get to the truth was to watch the footage and what was on there was enough to arrest her.
Police are required to make an arrest for any domestic violence incident in that state. They couldn't just take Christian's word and let her slide. That's not even taking account her doing this at an airport.
