I think the intentions were good with the "landing space" rule...but they either need to make it malicious intent only or just get it out the game. Jalen Brunson abuses this shyt like crazy as well.



The Kawhi injury years ago sucked, but shyt like this is why some of us say defense is legislated out of the game. Shot contests are under unnecessary scrutiny and a defender has to worry about everything but actually playing defense.

What's crazy about the " landing space" rule is that the defense should actually love it and adjust.
I have played basketball my whole life and have always jumped the highest I could to the shooters shooting hand and always to that side. Crazy to me that these elite pro athletes just close out directly to the middle and don't even jump.
