Considering this week's episode ofMonday Night Raw came the night after the Fastlane pay-per-view (PPV) that would tell us the main event ofWrestleMania 32 in April, it was expected viewers would be up. That was before Shane McMahon made his big return to WWE at the start of the show.

Sure enough, viewers jumped to 3.88 million viewers, up from 3.47 million viewers last week.

The first hour, not surprisingly, did very well, but the show dropped significantly as the night wore on:

Hour one: 4.20 million
Hour two: 4.05 million
Hour three: 3.39 million

You have to go back to April of last year to match that number of first hour viewers. That said, that massive drop from hour one to hour three continues to show there simply isn't enough interest to keep a steady number of viewers for all three hours.

It will be most interesting to see how the show looks next week now that the top three matches at WrestleMania have been booked.

Always liked Shane and enjoyed that segment, but I was still surprised (in a good way) by the reaction he got.

Dude's a rock star.

Dude's a rock star.

It was the first time in a while that the fans got to be okie-doked and this time, it was in epic fashion. Remember when The Rock popped up in Brooklyn during the Rusev segment and how crazy it was because there weren't really prevalent rumors of him DEFINITELY showing up. There was an inkling, but when he showed up, we were slightly caught off-guard and it made that moment better. However, The Rock seems to show up fairly often.

When Shane came back, the idea of him being anywhere NEAR WWE TV was in the furthest corner of most of our minds. Any time there's the slightest chance of a return, we've got a thread popping up with reports from Double-Talk Dave about it. They okie-doked us EXTRA hard by doing it during the Legacy award presentation. We were thinking it'd be awarded to a wrestler, then we got Steph and were like :dwillhuh:

....then a theme song we haven't heard in over half a decade... :gladbron: :whoo: :ohlawd: :dj2: :obama: :mjcry:

It's so hard to get true mark-out moments with all these chatty-patties on the IWC spoiling everything. For that entire segment (and knowing it was happening in my hometown), I was 14 again.

show is 40 days out, 30k will be sold easily

Even if they peak at 94-95k, with the roster as thin as it is, and the writing being all over the place, they'd settle for it. At least then - they can at least claim it's the best attended WM of all time

Having said that - they haven't announced the Cena match yet, or said what Rock and Austin are going to be doing.
