Tracie Spencer just had that wholesome wifey look. I think she was my 1st lite skin crush until Mya came out.

IMO she birthed that “regular 90s girl” style into the ether…

Like…she was the first one on the bridge between the eras.
I think she came out in ’87 or ‘88, but she was the first teenybop chick
who wasn’t all pinked-out in leg warmers or oversized sweaters, but also wasn’t on some
Mickey Mouse Club chit where they girls wore the same thing the boys did.

Her style was kinda in-between. For instance, I KNOW she was the first
broad to bust the straw hat with the flower on the turned-up brim.
Blossom and Six jacked her whole swagger, then passed it to Tia & Tamera, and the rest is history.
That style became THE Style for regular girls, unless they was Preppy, Thots/Hoochied-Out, or
dressed like Li’l Gangstas/Cholitas/Aaliyah.
