In order to go live on IG, you have to open up the app, click the post option, then scroll to the right 3 places until you are on the Live option... Then click the button to start it.

Hard to do on accident, if it's staged then he had to know he wouldn't get canned from ESPN imo. Too much of a risk to do a stunt like that without some assurance that it would blow over
