I don't see what the big deal is. Most black Americans are broadly West African. The DNA tests trace similarities with a high degree of confidence back to a general area, which happens to be Nigeria for Shannon.

Mine read a range of West African countries which given both sides of my family are from the Lowcountry of South Carolina, makes perfect sense.
