this. i think mike feels indebted to the nfl for eventually being given a second chance, because at one point it looked like he would never get another shot in the league. even when he got signed, the protests that first year were crazy. but he did, and he was successful, and he was able to get his life back on track. now he feels a need to show deference on this issue, while still trying to support kap.

but he's wrong. his situation isnt remotely comparable to what kap is going through, and he allowed actual bigots to use him in the argument against colin. for that, he's a fukking idiot, and i imagine he'll be trying to explain himself at some over the next couple of weeks.
