Respectfully, you’re not even within a 100 miles of being qualified to say what an iconic lawyer like Lanny Davis should’ve said. Let’s start there. This is like you telling prime Tom Brady how he should’ve gone through his progressions. I’m sorry but as a lawyer this type of shyt starts to irk me and I have to speak on it. So let me say this plainly - the general public is not filled with a bunch of people reading every random detail like you. You’re not the norm. I’m having trouble following what you’re talking about and I post here - I know for sure the average person will be confused. What Lanny is doing is responding headline for headline and purposefully limiting the scope of the discussion to favorable terms. You have some misguided belief that he is required to respond to every allegation on its merits and that he has to address it exactly as it was presented. He has done his job, which was effectively undermine the accusers: that is all he had to do. He’s not in a courtroom right now and this person isn’t on the stand. This is all the public is hearing:

- he gets out ahead of that and says this is an onlyfans broad, it’s Buzbee and they’re about to edit shyt to play into stereotypes- he then creates a scenario where Shannon gets the benefit of the doubt
-edited video drops and he responds with texts —> end result is that Shannon is a weirdo but given the benefit of the doubt
-second white woman from back in the day says Shannon brutalized her
-he makes the woman look crazy - Shannon continues to get the benefit of the doubt
-espn has to make a choice about taking him off the air - he voluntarily takes a leave of absence so that they don’t have to make an immediate choice
. Meanwhile he continues to do the same numbers on night cap showing his current and potential future partners that he’s still a commodity and that it hasn’t hurt him entirely yet
-end result: Shannon Sharpe is looked at by the public as an idiot and a creep but ultimately someone getting shakes down, which is the general consensus - people are more interested in if he can survive this career-wise than if he’s actually a predator —-> terrible PR situation managed as best as can be.
