As a person who lost a child (wife lost the child while pregnant before covid) and I had to bury family members over the last 4 years it hits you fast to realize no matter how much money you got you can't change the fact that them folks gone from your life and never coming back. Makes you look at money and material things in a entire different light.

Some of us start behind in life, and we have to devote so much energy to gain some security. That some other things get put on the back burner. Definitely the case with Shannon. He had to earn everything, and was a hybrid player. Really a big receiver playing tight end, so he had to devote 100% to stay and succeed in the league.

After a certain age you reflect back and see things for what they really and what's really valuable.
