I think the ESPN morning crowd is a lot more liberal than people think. I mean Stephen A rules the airways and the topics that get shine usually don’t get highlighted on ESPN prime time. They talk HBCU, WNBA, and Stephen gets a ton of black co hosts etc.

Shannon might be able to give an apology about all of it, and with retracted statements he can play it off as nastiness but not anything too torrid.

There’s an avenue back. It might be slim but I wouldn’t be shocked

YouTube podcast audience and ESPN viewing audience are two totally different demos. They are going to see this as a shakedown which it was and continue to watch.

Also I’m sure the “workplace” environment around a podcast is much smaller than being at espn studios. He was lucky to even get back with fox after his last workplace shyt happened, that was a different era
