For a good laugh, check out the posts/threads, on twitter, facebook and here, where Shannon Sharpe was warned by other Black voices about the risks of consistently going after younger women. It was just “Stop dikkpolicing Black men’s choices,” “Black men deserve to spend their money freely,” “How come you guys never criticize Cacs? How come no one says anything about DiCaprio for dating young women?” and “What about Black women, Mo'Nique?” 
Yeah, you can like them, but you still need to be extremely selective.
As a Black man striving to build generational wealth and legacy to secure my future generations, I seriously believe we must reject the western individualistic mindset of “Salvation is individual. I’m grown, I can do what I want.”. Because even when you are a wealthy black men in the west, you still lack equitable access to wealth, systemic power, and institutional support compared to other groups. This scarcity amplifies the consequences of your choices, making reckless decisions costlier. Not every warning is “hating.”
Listen to the wisdom of other black people and know when to pause. People saw this coming with Sharpe, and this is just one young woman. How many more will follow in the years ahead?
Start exercising discernment. If you prefer younger women, choose those with established careers and secure futures. I'm talking about partners where both sides have something to lose, ensuring mutual respect and accountability.
P.S. Today’s young women differ vastly from those of our grandparents’ and parents’ eras. Back then, reckless behavior from most of these little h0es could be dismissed as “Look at this wild one! Just talking nonsense. Her father failed her.” Now, young women are strategic. They keep receipts of everything. They screenshot everything. And they always have two phones: one for regular use, another to capture messages from apps that block screenshots.
So proceed with caution
