LA took game 1 vs Portland with Kobe scoring 13 points on 4-9 shooting. They won game 4 with him shooting 5-15. They lost game 5 by 8 points with him shooting 4-13 with 6 turnovers and 6 fouls. Is that really so hard to replicate?

thats was lost in this debate, sure kobe didnt play well in that indiana series other than the pivotal game 4 that could have swung the series the other direction, but they dont even make it to the finals that first year with tracy or vince.

This argument doesn't work when T-Mac hasn't left round one, I can nitpick every single game as well. All I know is Tracy would have not had that game 7 comeback where Kobe outscored, outrebounded, more assists and more blocks than Shaq or the games vs Kings next year, you guys are severely downplaying playmaking and defense, he has never shown it.
What he did show was never getting to 2nd round and constantly throwing his teammates under bus because he couldn't beat Baron Davis
