Absolutely right. The difference is they’ll hold it against Kobe for playing with Shaq then turn around and also hold it against him for playing with Pau. Then even stretch it to the coach. Meanwhile Riley, Magic and Kareem win 5 together and no one bats an eye.
You can’t put players that shrunk in pressure situations into championship situations and automatically say they get the same results. You can’t replace Kyrie with James Harden and automatically say he hits the same clutch playoff shots for the Cavs when needed. And again, James lapped TMac and VC when it comes to leading teams in the regular season and playoffs so its even worse for them

He literally admitted that he ran to Miami "to prove" he could win a chip without Kobe. So instead of running it back in LA, his focus in '04 was to worry about showing people he could win with other players because people said whatever about him needing Kobe.
Dude's issue has always been how insecure he is. He has less rings than Bean and mad years later, that still bothers him. He spent his washed years trying to hop to whatever team he felt were contenders to catch up with Kobe in rings and couldn't do it. So these statements today are calculated and petty. But they speak to how much of a sucka Shaq has always been. Dwight was right about dude. He's never been happy with his legacy and needs to do and say childish sh*t constantly to feel better about himself.
