Shaq was already more accomplished than Bill Walton at this point. This is not the same as Shaq critiquing Donovan Mitchell.

Mitchell is only 24 and has already shattered his expectations coming out of Louisville. Shaq's comments are premature.

The point is that you can't compare Bill Walton critiquing Shaq to Shaq critiquing Mitchell. It's not about whether Shaq was right to critique Mitchell, but Bill Walton is not as accomplished as Shaq. It would be like Tim Legler critiquing Mitchell.

Yeah he totally would’ve won those titles without Kobe and Phil. They were just along for the ride.

was that what I said, imbecile?
That wasn’t even the other guys argument, why are you this stupid?

back to the stats :russell: :mjlol: nikkas talking out both sides of they both now

yea let it have been Kobe averaging 38 and Shaq averaging 15ppg I’m sure you’d never bring it up :mjlol:

disgusting savages really tryna act like Kobe averaging less points than AUSTIN CROSHERE was really carrying prime Shaq

or did you want to also ignore the fact that some inbred cac was averaging more than kobe in the finals in your retarded “Kobe carried Shaq” argument :heh:

Young Shaq gave all of the great centers of the 90s that work too, chill.

This is a lie.
Duke got owned by every great center till they were out to pasture via father time.
Nuffin shaq added to his repertoire even his one hand jump floater hook he abandoned was never a weapon versus the old guard.

Shaw to his credit tho.
At least took over like he was destined too and did not play about it when motivated given his body type.
Yet originally,...
Shaq got owned by the old guard till father time stepped in and up to get the old guard out the paint.

The next guard it is not shaq's fault. Just like mayweather's in boxing. Not his fault the guard did not apply themselves and no one wanted to be fully pedigreed as a big other than a converted euro in the next available gen's tim duncan.

Notice shaq was critiqued by a big who went to be great in kareem's or lew's shadow. Even though he knew he would never be regarded like kareem frfr.
As yes shaq and walton are correct to apply pressure to big dudes who want to be a waste of skin. The critique is needed and warranted.

No problem with it being said because it needs to be said.

This is hilarious.
First championship:
Shaq: 38ppg 16rebs on 61% fg
Kobe: 15.6ppg 4.6 reb on 36% fg

“Kobe and phil carried Shaq”

The repeat:
Shaq: 33ppg 15 Rebs on 57% fg
Kobe: 24ppg 7 reb on 41% fg

3peat:
Shaq: 36ppg 12 rebs 59.5% fg
Kobe: 26ppg 5 reb 42% fg

“carried” :mjlol:

“Kobe carried shaq”

3 peat averages
Shaq: 35.6ppg 14reb 59% fg
Kobe: 21.8ppg 5.5 reb 42%fg

lol the first player in league history to carry a team while scoring less, rebounding less, and clanking 42% over the dynasty
Incredible revisionist history, I’d say it’s drug induced :russ::picard:

Edit for good measure vs pistons:
Shaq 26 and 10 on 63%
Kobe: 22ppg and 2 reb on 38% fg
:flabbynsick:
There's nothing revisionist in saying that Shaq was a loser that kept getting swept until Phil and Kobe came up

but that isn’t what happened not sure why people want to make Kobe seem like he was the dominant force because it was shaq.

shaq would damn near be matched up against another hall of famer every other night during his time.

Let's be honest. Shaq would have his hands full with a 1977 Bill Walton

The same Walton that beat a Prime Julius Erving in the Finals

"Shaq is an insult to people who think" :russ::russ::russ:

Shaq would have gotten treated for sure for sure frfr.

No question.
Walton in portland fresh and uninjured off that ucla next all time winning swag drug.

Yeah shaq would have gotten treated.
plus shaq never mastered the parochial game that Walton owned. As well as the grassroots inside interior game Walton had. That shaq would have gotten treated.
against wilted Walton shaq would eat and if i remember right did eat in maybe Walton's last twinklin twilight as a player. Even if shaq did not eat Walton in that last twinkle of Walton's career. Shaq would have ate against crippled Walton.
savy healthy walton had the grassroots and parochial game on his side on lock. That talking of Walton positively is taboo kinda but there was a time when tho.
Where walton before injury is pretry much a top level villain in bball for black people but alot of black people liked Walton lo key tho too. So finding a reasonable take on Walton from people on this will be a healthy mix of race versus grassroots. which Walton low key has to grassroots facts to back him and one point in time was looked at in a weird polarizing regard. To just flat out vitoil based hate.especially when he became a celt. Later walton's career. Where in this point in time. Shaq was being interviewed by a condescending harold lederman version of walton. So this clip is actually pro shaq piece.
from a grassroots perspective and not a revisionist perspective.
like the ts is intending it too be used tho for the discussion.
as nuffin in Walton's history of bball journalism.
as a correspondent is to be taken as indicative of being positive to the overall dialectic.

As that needs to be stated in this commhnity as well.
As this is a community built on combating what Walton as about at this point in journalism. So that needs to be stated during this thread as well. Plus the ts should have stated this initially as well. That a lack of regard.
to mention this initially is telling.
