Shaq: I Agree With What T-Mac Said. Probably Get A Lot Of Flak, But I Always Said Myself, I , I Think I Could've Got 3 In A Row With T-Mac.

I think Shaq and T-Mac win 1-2 titles, but I don't think they win 3

I don't think they beat Portland in 2000 bc T-Mac was just too young

I think they win in 01...

And I don't think Shaq & T-Mac beat the Kings in 02

Shaq was out of shape in 03...and started slowing down by 04

I only give them 1, maybe 2...

Doesn't take away from T-Mac being a great player, but getting over the finish line requires more than just talent

Gasol was gonna be a hall of famer even without Kobe. He has 20k plus points and 10k plus rebounds which only 17 players have done all of them are in the hall of fame. I didn’t even list all of his international accomplishments.

Dino Radja is in the HOF based on his int'l exploits, so Pau would've made the hall for the same reasons

Yes, Pau would've made the hall without Kob...but his legacy was enhanced playing for the lakers and winning 2 titles

But he was an afterthought before he arrived in LA and after he left LA

What exactly is the issue? This is not taking anything away from Kobe

Its giving a lot of credit to TMac's abilities. If they weren't parading him around these podcasts lately people have largely forgotten him. The average new nba fan probably doesn't know him

I mean, if you have two top 5-10 players on the same team, and Shaq as dominant as he was, of course they would’ve won rings.
Saying 2 top 10 players could win championships together is only a controversial conversation because it involves the Kobe cultist and their “ “supreme leader” :lolbron:

Yep.

He got all the single coverage because of Kobe too and went against weak centers in the finals to win MVPs.
Kobe cultist rewriting history again :mjlol: As if that nikka wasn't racking up numbers against the Antonio Daniels and 35 year old Steve Smiths of the world while Shaq was dealing with every teams top big man in the west.… who was Kobe’s GUARD rivals in the western conference during that 3 peat era?

Kobe was being defended by Doug Christie, Bruce Bowen, Ruben Patterson and Scot Pippen...their primary goal was to make his life hell

Doug & Bruce were all nba defenders

Just off the play style let alone the numbers.

Yeah I always say Kobe and Duncan would’ve been a better on court (for the purposes of a simple causal comparison, imagine Timmy as a Super-Pau) and personality fit than Kobe and Shaq…all the “it’s my team” bickering wouldn’t have been a thing…they stay together long term and both retire lakers with 7 or 8 chips

And having to do absolutely nothing on the other side of the ball besides take a break and put all of his focus on scoring because them nikkas were 0 threats on offense :mjlol:

Two nikkas that barely cracked double digits in scoring a game were Kobes “biggest positional rivals” and these cultist got the nerve to talk about Shaq’s competition LMAO thank you for making my point

Kobe was defending Mike Bibby, Manu, AI, Bonzi, Penny in the West

While contending with AI, Mckie, Snow, Reggie, Jalen Rose, Kidd, Kittles, and Richard Jefferson in the finals

Let me answer for you who Shaq contended with at C in the W: Luc Longley, Vlade (3x), and Arvydas (3x)
