His money his choice.

We literally saw Romeo crying over his pops not doing enough for him and Master P GAVE THAT nikka a PREPACKAGED CAREER. Platinum singles. Gold albums. His OWN television series. Movies. A College basketball career.

And at age 33 he’s blaming his father for his problems.

Shaq is doing the opposite. Making his kids get it out the “mud” so to speak. Go to school, learn a trade, don’t rely on daddy’s money to get you ahead in life. We’ll see how it works for him but we already have a trillion examples of where the OTHER path leads
Half those things you listed for Romeo had nothing to do with P. And he wasn't "crying" about P didn't do for him, his gripe was for his siblings.

Why is he stingy with his fortune if you make all this money then why did you work so hard to make this money if you not gonna leave it to your family???:patrice: just objectively speaking. I'm sure he'll leave a tidy sum in a trust somewhere for them but still.:mjlol: all he gotta do is explain he doesn't want his kids to be lazy and entitled

He says that out loud, but i’m sure he set them kids up to be as successful as possible and he would/will be there if they need him.

This just motivation so they don’t think they can just sit around and spend his money.

:comeon: He just chatting shyt the kids will be fine . He just wants then to Also work for themselves
Yeah i feel what he sayin.

And i would do the same. My seed would never want for nothing, and ultimately like breh said, is make sure my fortune was transfered to them, i would just arrange it so they just wont know it, or receive the bulk until they were ready.

And like when piccolo left that food for his so-....for gohan, to feel like he found it on his own when he was training him as a kid.

Money is great, but can be very dangerous and loses its full worth if u cant respect its true value.

Half those things you listed for Romeo had nothing to do with P. And he wasn't "crying" about P didn't do for him, his gripe was for his siblings.

It was actually more than half.

1). Romeo’s first four albums (two of which went Gold) are Executive Produced by Percy Miller AKA Master P AKA the FATHER of Romeo

2). Romeo starred in a self titled Nickelodeon series from 03-06 that ran 53 episodes. The series was co-created and executive produced by Percy Miller AKA Master P AKA the FATHER of Romeo

3). Romeo was able to showcase his basketball talent at the famed ABCD camp, an invitation only camp the likes of which Allen Iverson, Kobe Bryant, Tracy McGrady and Lebron James all previously attended. Due to his not being a top prospect and struggling throughout the camp, Romeo’s invitation was the main result of “Influence from his father”. The FATHER in question being Percy Miller AKA Master P.

He was later afforded a FULL basketball scholarship to USC (despite bombing at the ABCD Camp and rumors of a bad knee. Why you ask? From the words of Coach Tim Floyd

“Last April ... Percy Miller called while driving both players from a tournament in Fayetteville, Ark ... Percy Miller said 'Demar and Romeo are ready to make their decision, and would you like to have them both on scholarship?' ... 'I said absolutely.'"

The Percy Miller in question would be the man also known as Master P AKA the FATHER of Romeo.

So as I said before, we have a PREPACKAGED career across three mediums; music, film, and sports. Provided by a multimillionaire father (BLACK) to his son and at age 33 the silver spoon kid was still complaining about his father’s shortcomings. And you can be selective and say that the 33 year old grown man’s complaints were about his sister, but they quickly devolved into rants about money and his father’s supposed misuse of his funds. The 33 year old grown man accused his father of mismanaging his earnings and using them to pay off the IRS, which is curious considering that Romeo began his career at 12 years old as a rapper on Percy Miller’s AKA Master P’s AKA Romeo’s FATHER’s record label No Limit. No Limit was based in New Orleans, Louisiana. One of four states that reinforce a law known as The Coogan Act, which stipulates that a child performer’s earnings must be held in a trust for them until they reach the age of 18. Romeo’s father LEGALLY couldn’t touch his child’s royalties or tour earnings across four studio albums. So if Percy was using any of Romeo’s earnings from 12–18 to pay personal expenses he’s be in jail, which clearly he is not.

SO, in conclusion, as i’ve said before we have an example of a BLACK father providing a myriad of opportunities for their child to be successful and pass on “generational” wealth that, upon reaching adulthood, the now grown child did not appreciate them and found whatever manner possible to blame the father for his own misfortunes.

Now we have Shaq as an example of a BLACK father refusing to provide prepackaged handouts for his children (namely his sons. He’s stated before his daughters will always be taken of) He wants them to learn whats it like to make a living based in their own individual drive and not the security blanket that is their father’s funds. I do believe that this is a better method of rearing children, especially BOYS, for the realities of the world.

We shall see

My parents babied my sister but forced me to make my own way at 18. She barely moved out at 36 with her 2 daughters and husband while I live in a McMansion and we are only 16 months apart. Seeing that first hand, both my daughters will make their own way as well, I’m only going to support them in times of crisis or to make sure they are safe and fed but all the other shyt for clothes, hair, nails, and superfluous shyt they can handle on their own.

Yeah no I'm not striving for wealth and financial freedom just so I can turn around and tell my kids they didn't work for it so they deserve nothing (unless they exhaust themselves by dancing like monkeys for crumbs or some shyt). I can see not wanting to raise a bunch of lazy, entitled kids but there are ways around that. I remember years ago Gordon Ramsey would joke about how when his family travelled, only he and his wife flew first class but his kids had to fly coach and even though it wasn't that big of a deal, it rubbed me the wrong way.

I fully expect my children to enjoy the fruits of my labor alongside me and without feeling a need to "humble" them or ensuring they "know their place". You literally CANNOT take your money with you! My parents worked hard so I could have a better life/future and even after they divorced, they both upheld that same mentality and made sure I was there every step of the way of their respective come-ups.

nikkas sure do hate the concept of generational wealth.

When push comes to shove they damn near seem ALLERGIC to it don't they...
