My mans got me & my "crew" in. He cut the huge line, grabbed a walkie talkie & clipboard & became a Stage Manager. For anyone that was there....were the reason why the show was off schedule lmao. He kept telling everyone that they were 30 mins behind if we didnt want to watch a whole set. BADBADNOTGOOD was probably the best performance there even though they kinda got fukked over due to them not being able to get ther keyboard up on stage in the right amount of time. Boldy James was back in the green room talkin bout how hes been fresh since hes been little. Nas Pretty much trolled everyone too hahahaha

"Dear SXSW Music Committee, i am writing to you asking to have an official showcase with a bunch of no name internet forum rappers, i know you have thousands of bands every year trying to get on your festival, many of which are popular have a very large fan base with lots of money to support sxsw, i however think it would be a good idea to book a The-coli.com showcase headlined by Ugo Ogawa. Lmao while I hear you on that shyt...if Colorado state can have an official showcase with a buncha no named folks why cant a huge online hip hop forum have one? Id love to see Ugo Ogawa live. In all seriousiness tho having a Coli related showcase isnt farfetched man. Worst comes to worst it can be an unofficial showcase & build from that if folks are willing to put in that work. If the Nigerian can have good idea & get it off the ground anyone can. The hard part is not getting ya idea snatched.
i dont think you understand how difficult it is the book an unofficial showcase, probably just has difficult if not more because then you are competing to book a venue with million dollar corporations with big name super stars. I have lived in austin my whole life, everyone's got a dream of doing a sxsw show, its not really realistic.
Well fukk it its an idea id like to try, if i fall flat on my face so be it. Rather try than not to nah mean?
real talk tho your best bet would be to try and find a venue that is sorta away from downtown, maybe a big house, and most importantly have free booze. thats my sorta helpful advice.
Thats what my gameplan was if this idea does start to pop off. I had some folks from Detroit do a showcase @ the Spiderhouse a few years ago I was part of and it was real cool.
at a Coli showcase,if this were thee case i'd drive a car into thee crowd too..
