They should have left this shyt alone back in the mIRC/Napster/AudioGalaxy days. Back then the general public weren't going after albums that heavy, just songs and shyt. Only the super computer savvy people had a "collection", hell I was one of them and the only people that ate well were the people that were on forums like this one. Soon as they shut those down it opened up the floodgates and the RIAA/FBI has been suffering ever since. I remember seeing that stupid ass Megaupload commercial with all of the artists and actors saying they love megaupload and shyt...I saw the writing on the wall. shyt was doomed from the start. They're better off saving their efforts for real criminals than college students looking for an old school Canibus freestyle. I buy albums maybe once or twice a year(Kendrick, Cole, Scarface, Nas) but that's it. The irony in it is when Audiogalaxy was on and poppin' I still bought albums to support the artists. Now there's no point at all, the game has changed too much and there's almost no point in buying albums.

Get Kodi. All of that shyt is easily accessible now. You nikkas need to get on that streaming wave, fukk downloading all that shyt anymore. Get your essentials and the lowkey shyt that might be hard to find years down the line, everything else, stream that shyt and keep it pushing. Ain't nobody impressed by your extensive ass media collections these days, everybody got the same shyt at the click of a button now.

so you think renting a house is better than owning it? :francis:

it's a cycle, when one shuts down, another 10 pop up
This. Sharebeast was dope but the idea that file sharing can be shut down in 2015 is laughable. It was fukking laughable almost a decade ago. This train that started with Napster has left that station and it ain't going back. The industry needs to adapt and just deal with the fact that this is in play. Find another way to profit. I mean I guess it's not a bad idea to shut these sites down. But like you said, more and more will just pop up.
