Folks hear lynching and automatically ready to strike, not even understanding the context of the joke.

Seriously I thought it was a pretty smart joke. The whole monologue was. But all some twitter activists and their ilk live for is to be fake outraged and get them retweets.

He was there to talk about why Hollywood is racist and he did his job. Likening hollywood to a racist sorority was spot on, you could feel the uncomfortableness seeping through the room. Perfect description of how the system works. Talking about roles and opportunities for PoC was a strong point as well. Expecting him to cover everything else that was going on was a fools errand.
