Right, cause WWE was so much better when Hickenbottom was prancing around the ring like a fakkit

19 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Shawn Michaels

Who was the top guy in WWE in 1996? Shawn Michaels. He was the WWE Champion for most of the year, but he wasn’t a very good draw. The company lost a reported $6 million from May 1996 to April 1997, which was the time when Michaels was clearly on top. It wasn’t all his fault because Bret Hart was on a break for six months and they really had no other top stars other than Undertaker. However, as the champion a lot of the blame went on Michaels. The champion should get the credit when things go well and with that comes the blame when things go badly.

Lol at the silly notion that Rock sucked the life out of the arena. Mania been over all but a week and nikkas rewriting history

nikkas act like Mania wasn't getting any tickets sold before HHH won the title

:comeon:Triple H in 2016 is not a draw
:comeon:No one goes to WWE just for HHH

:why:I swear the re-writing WWE does of it's own history has corrupted these old nikkas.

:dead:at seeing these posts back to back. So in 96 HBK was responsible for every ticket sold cause he's the champ but now when Kang is breaking records as champ he can't get any credit for it :what: You guys can't have it both ways :stopitslime:

:yeshrug: sounds like good business to me

How is that a fact? He has run a profitable wrestling company for 35 years. Look at wwf when Vince took over from his dad compared to now. He turned a Northeast US company into a global one. Money marks by definition don't care about turning a profit. You're just making shyt up at this point
And that was spearheaded by Hulkamania. A marketing concept that Hogan brought to life and ran with. Its also why Vince doesnt know how to book a babyface now. Its all he knows. Austin was Austin 3:16. Cena had the merch and the "Cenation". Bryan had the "Yes Movement". And by definition money marks only care about profit if the company runs through whatever image they want it to. They have money so they dont mind losing as long as their objective is hit. That is Vince to a fault and there is plenty to support this

U actually think that the guy who got no reaction at Several WMs like Cripple H meant the same as Taker and Lesnar this year? LOL....

the Lesnar match was basically filler this year and people only cared about taker cause of Shane.

The only thing entertaining about taker anymore is his entrance and Kang always has a better WM entrance than Taker nowadays

Roman Reigns 5 star match? :scust:

hes def gotten better but his matches bore the fukk out of me...basically anybody at the top of the card who is a Triple H guy has a boring ass match...Randy Orton, Trips, Roman...they all have the same slow put you to sleep match...im willing to sit through a boring match for an RKO though.
Roman has great matches

:usure: Great matches are what we saw from Zayn/Nakamura, Sasha/Bailey in Brooklyn, HBK/Taker at WM, or Kushida/Ospreay last night. Stop overrating stuff just because you like a guy. Roman has good serviceable matches

@mrken12 you too :ufdup:

WWE turns a profit every year in history (except 94 and 96). Money marks lose money to be in the biz. Does not compute

lol HBK/Taker and Sasha/Bailey are classic matches, no one on the roster is having those type of matches. This is another example of you holding Roman to a much higher standard than you are holding anyone on the roster. Dean Ambrose isn't having matches of that caliber yet i'm certain you called some of his matches "great" this year

Anyways, Roman/Bryan, Roman/Sheamus, and of course Roman/Brock are all great matches.

Roman/Big Show at Extreme Rules last year was also a very good match that earned four stars from Meltzer, higher than Ambrose/Harper and Rollins/Orton on the same card and the HIGHEST rated singles match of Big Show's career
