– Vince Russo recently interviewed WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels for his podcast, which is available now onPodcastOne.com. During the interview, Michaels discussed if he missed working in the ring. He also discussed fans who are not happy with today’s WWE product. Below are some highlights.

Michaels on if he misses wrestling in WWE: “Everybody asks me, ‘Do you miss it?’ No, I don’t miss it, because what’s on TV now isn’t what I used to do. So it’s easy not to miss.”

On fans who complain about today’s WWE product: “I get what those hardcore fans say and they don’t like it, but at the same time, and I’m gonna get a ton of heat for this, but it is true: You DO keep watching. The ratings may go down, but we’re not losing you.”

It doesn't help when you come out at Wrestlemania and bury the New Day which are the most over thing in wrestling. I'd really like HBK to just shut up and be a legend. Don't need his hypocrisy. Like in that other thread, imagine if the legends at the time came out and hit their finishers on him and st0rmfr0nt at Wrestlemania.

This is the type of attitude that will bite them in the ass someday, they've definitely lost fans. They thought when WCW died all their fans would gravitate to WWE, and that didn't happen. Those fans moved on to something else.

bury all your new stars, then complain when you have no new stars

the wyatt family was supposed to be a supernatural, spooky heel version of The Brood or some shyt, but they might as well name themselves the Brooklyn Brawlers

they didnt bury New Day at all (to me)...i get that the legends came out on top but that didnt hurt New Day one bit. And i dont think any legend before Austin & them could come in and realistically do that...

If Macho Man came out and dropped an elbow on Stone Cold i would be :blessed: though

When is someday? People hated John Cena for literally a decade. WWE ignored the boos and pushed him as #1 for 10 years. The same exact people saying it's gonna bite them in the ass at wm 22 were watching Roman Reigns close out wrestlemania 32. In a stadium 4 times larger than the 2006 show. Maybe by wm 42 people will grow a spine and stop watching?

Different times. Ten years ago they weren't dealing with concussion issues, the network among other things. It's only so long they can coast on their brand name. Guys they've relied on for star power are reaching the twilight of their careers.
